What should I expect?

When you arrive you will receive a warm welcome at the door and we may give you some information about the church and our events. We generally start with music when we usually stand as we sing and some people enjoy raising their hands or clapping. We get excited about God! We encourage everyone to participate, but there is no set format or requirement to get involved. Don’t worry if you don’t know the words they will be on the screen. Then there will be an inspirational message, tackling real issues that will hopefully leave you well prepared to face the adventure of a new week.

What about my children?

The children usually stay in the service during the singing then during the sermon, there is Bridge Kids for school aged children up to 11 years old. There are creche facilities for you to take younger children out to the back hall, where the rest of the service is available to watch and listen to via video.

Bridge Church has a full Child Protection Policy in place and leaders are DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checked.

What time does church start?

Our main Sunday celebration service starts at 11.00am. It finishes at about 12.15pm, and is followed by an informal time of refreshments, for which you are very welcome to join us.

What should I wear?

Feel free to wear whatever you are comfortable in. Some people come smartly dressed, others come more casually.

Where can I park?

There is a small free car park opposite the church (at the Bridge Community Venue), or you should be able to park on the road near the church.

As the church is growing, to alleviate some of the problems with parking on Sunday mornings, we have arranged to use the car park of Ancaster Day Centre, Boundary Street from 10.30am to 12.45pm. This is a 5-minute walk from Bridge Church.

The postcode for the car park is LN5 8PF.

Can I get a bus?

You can catch the 26 to Bracebridge, opp Otter’s Cottages from the city centre at 07:50 every 30 mins until 17:50. It also leaves Asda NHK at 08:11 and runs every 30 mins until 18:11.
