Our annual Christmas Sack Appeal helps a few hundred local families to have a better Christmas than they could perhaps afford, by giving gifts to each member of the household, as well as a food hamper, with extra treats. The sacks are given to families who have been nominated by social services and schools, and it is all done anonymously, so we do not know to whom they have been given, just the age and gender of the children, so they can be given appropriate gifts.

Local people and organisations give physical and financial gifts throughout the year towards this appeal, and then in December, there are several days of wrapping of presents, collating the sacks and hampers and finally distributing them. If you would like to know more about the project, or how you can get involved, then please speak to Sian Wade.

We really feel we can be a blessing to our community through this project.
